Primary vs Concurrent Appointment

Every faculty member is appointed to a University academic department.  If the appointee belongs to more than one department, the primary appointment denotes the "home" department.  Academic promotions always occur in the primary department.

The term "concurrent appointment" refers to appointments in departments other than the primary department.

Will this be a primary appointment or an appointment that will run concurrently with another appointment?
