An appointment given to an existing faculty member who is on paid salary in an academic unit at the University of Toronto and who is subsequently appointed to another academic unit on a non-salaried basis.
Duration / Review Period:
These appointments must be fixed-term appointments, usually 1 to 3 years. When possible, they should commence on July 1st.
Performance will be reviewed on an annual basis.
Appointments in this category require the approval of the appointee's primary Department Chair and the Chair of the cross-appointing department. This is followed by a document review by the Human Resources department.
