Description:
These physicians hold appointments at relevant clinical sites affiliated with the University of Toronto and devote 20% to 80% of their professional time to academic work.
At fully-affiliated academic hospitals, active medical staff generally are full-time clinical academic University appointees. For a physician on active staff at a fully-affiliated academic hospital applying for a part-time clinical faculty appointment, the Department must provide a compelling reason explaining the request and explicit agreement by the Hospital Chief and VP Education or equivalent (see letter of explanation listed under the Required Documents section below).

Appointments in this category are approved by the Senior Advisor to the Dean on Clinical Affairs on behalf of the Dean

*To be eligible for the CPSO academic certificate of registration, foreign-trained physicians must be appointed at a Professorial Rank (Assistant Professor or higher)
